In the first quarter of 2024, the hack and slash genre saw significant activity on the unified platform in Europe. Sensor Tower’s data provides us with a glimpse into the performance of the top applications in this category.

Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat from YunChang Games started the quarter with a strong presence, boasting 367K downloads in its first week. Downloads saw a downward trend, settling at 12K by the end of March. Weekly active users mirrored this trend, starting at 354K and decreasing to 137K. Revenue peaked at $179K in the second week of January and experienced fluctuations before concluding the quarter with $48K.

Marvel Future Fight by Netmarble Corporation showed a more stable pattern in weekly active users, starting at 237K and peaking at 278K towards the end of January, before ending the quarter at 228K. Download numbers varied, with a notable spike to 60K in the last week of January. Revenue followed a somewhat erratic path, with a high of $70K at the start of the quarter and ending on a strong note with $65K in the last week of March.

miHoYo Limited’s Honkai Impact 3rd presented a consistent user base, with weekly active users starting at 78K and maintaining a steady level, finishing the quarter at 69K. Lastly, Ronin: The Last Samurai from Dreamotion Inc. experienced a download peak of 21K in the last week of February. However, its weekly active users saw a gradual decline from 49K at the start of January to 43K by the quarter's end. Revenue remained low throughout the quarter, with the highest being $3.8K in the last week of February.
